Connect Tv to home theater

Hi , need some advice on how to connect a TV to home theater system.

I have a Tv model Haier LE49F1000U. From the manual i see there is only one Line Out. I assume its using RCA cable. The page is as below.

On the home theater system, it has Optical input and input for 2 RCA cable. What is the suggestion to connect TV to the home theater system. I tried to connect the Line Out from Tv using one RCA cable to home theater and no sound from the speaker. Do I need to buy a converter of some sort to connect to the Optical in at the Home Theater.
