            <description>Dear all&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have Bagus WM that is eligible for Validity 90 and Validity 365. I can see this option from *100#. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If I take Validity 365, for example from today, my account validity will be changed to 13/07/2021. Correct?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What if I have purchase Hotlink share-a-topup that only has 5-day validity? Will its validity remain at 5-day or it will follow my main account&amp;#39;s validity until 13/07/2021?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I actually tried to ask @HotlinkListens on twitter. Initial response: cannot understand my question. Not sure how to put this whole query is a more plain English haha. &lt;br /&gt;</description>

            <title>Claiming warranty repair from Foto Shangri-la</title>

            <description>I have a shocking experience when trying to claim warranty repair from Foto Shangri-la (Sony Center) at Low Yat. To mods, if this is not the right place to post this, please move this thread to the appropriate one.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I sent my Sony camera on 16/12 to their Plaza Lowyat location. The camera has an additional 2-year warranty from e-Guard when I bought it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today, 30/12, when I called Foto Shangri-la for update on the repair job (I was thinking along the line of &amp;quot;e-Guard has found the problem and now sourcing for repair parts&amp;quot;). How wrong I was. My camera is still at Plaza Low Yat&amp;#33;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I questioned her why this was happening. She said they can only call e-Guard dispatch and wait for it. I was just not expecting that was all Foto Shangri-la did instead of pushing e-Guard to pick up sooner. I said when they were trying to sell me the camera, all the sweet promises about additional warranty were given (in exchange of extra money, of course) but when the time comes for actual warranty repair, this was what a customer would experience. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Although it did seem like this &amp;quot;e-Guard warranty&amp;quot; company is a lousy company, I was expecting a bit more from Foto Shangri-la since I am their customer and they, IMHO, should do something to give a good after-sales experience and induce returning customer to repeat buying from them. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;!--emo&amp;:stars:--&gt;&lt;img src='http://static.lowyat.net/style_emoticons/default/rclxub.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rclxub.gif' /&gt;&lt;!--endemo--&gt; sigh  &lt;!--emo&amp;:stars:--&gt;&lt;img src='http://static.lowyat.net/style_emoticons/default/rclxub.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rclxub.gif' /&gt;&lt;!--endemo--&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;PS: If anyone can recommend a better after-sales experience especially related to warranty repair, I&amp;#39;m seriously thinking about buying RX100 M3 at that shop, so feel free to chip in.             <title>iPhone 4S price dropped to 1,799</title>

            <description>Background:&lt;br /&gt;Apple online store (store.apple.com/my) has reduced iPhone 4S price from 2,199 to 1,799 a few days ago. &lt;b&gt;I tried to purchase online but apparently my AMEX credit card was not accepted.&lt;/b&gt; I do not have Visa or MC cards - my debt card does have a Visa logo on it but debt card cannot be used for Apple online. Hence I tried to find any units from physical store around KL. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Maxis, Alamanda Putrajaya:&lt;br /&gt;They straight up say no outright purchase available. No surprise there. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Maxis, KLCC:&lt;br /&gt;I&amp;#39;ve bought off-contract iPhone here before, so I know they do offer outright purchase. Unfortunately, as of 16/9, they are still selling at 2,190 old price and was unable to tell when they will reduce it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mobile floor, Lowyat Plaza:&lt;br /&gt;The best price was 1,999 but I think these guys aren&amp;#39;t too concerned about the price drop due to available stock issue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;MacStudio, Lowyat Plaza:&lt;br /&gt;No stock and price remains at 2,199&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Machines KLCC:&lt;br /&gt;No stock. They said still waiting new stocks from Maxis. Machines are selling at 1,799 though. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Machines Lot 10:&lt;br /&gt;No stock. But they asked me to call Machines Midvalley.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Machines Midvalley:&lt;br /&gt;Only 32GB version available but no reduced price. Only 16GB has the new price as advertised by Apple online store. Also they admitted still waiting for stocks from Maxis.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Epicentre, Pavilion:&lt;br /&gt;16GB stock available but remain at old price.             <title>Unsuccessful attempt to claim iPhone 4S warranty</title>

            <description>As of today, I&amp;#39;ve visited Maxis KLCC twice to replace my iPhone 4S 16GB white. The sleep/wake button has become stuck.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On Friday, 01/06/12, I arrived at Maxis KLCC around noon. After made to wait for 30 mins, it was my turn to show the faulty button to a CS rep there. She acknowledged the sleep/wake button issue but unfortunately Maxis KLCC has &amp;quot;no stock&amp;quot; for immediate one-to-one replacement. She asked me [i] to call 123 to enquire about stock availability at other branches [ii] to come back on next Monday&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;[i] I called 123 helpline and the CS on-duty said that they cannot check any online availability for that day. Why is that one rep says can check through 123 helpline but the 123 helpline say they can&amp;#39;t check? Seemed like I was stuck in the middle, just like the sleep/wake button, ironically.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;[ii] On Monday, 04/06/12 at 11:00am, I made my way to Maxis KLCC again. Fortunately, I was assigned to the same lady at the warranty counter. Although she said she didn&amp;#39;t remember me. A quick check on my iPhone details, keyed in a few things in the system and she made a query to her colleague across the counter and the short answer was &amp;quot;iPhone 4S 16GB white no stock&amp;quot;. Still deadlock. Once again, she asked me to [iii] call 123 helpline. By this time, I was already quite agitated. Obviously calling 123 helpline was no help, pardon the pun. We resolved that she &amp;quot;will call&amp;quot; when they have stock although my sneaky feeling is that she won&amp;#39;t honour her end of the bargain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;[iii] Feeling decidedly frustrated, I called 123 helpline again. Basically I received the same answer that they are unable to trace any stock report for the day. Apparently it depends how quickly the Maxis centre gives update to them. But from their system, they could see that there were some replacement stocks were sent to Maxis KLCC on Sunday, 03/06/12 but as from [ii] on 04/06/12, Maxis KLCC said there was no stock.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I feel that Maxis is dragging their feet about honouring the promised one-to-one replacement. I&amp;#39;m currently finding a way to lodge an official complaint to Apple regarding this. It goes without saying that a complaint to SKMM shall be lodged as well. It is frustrating when a huge conglomerate that was given almost the exclusive right to iPhone sales &amp;amp; services in Malaysia is acting like nobody will dare to touch them.</description>
