What u guys planning to do to pass time after retirement?

This year i celebrating 20 years in work force already. Still remember after graduating i spent 6 months goyang kaki until my family pressure me to be functioning adult get a fulltime job. End up working 6 days a week for the next 20 years. Recently keep thinking of retirement, dreaming only cos still got another 15 years AT LEAST to grind (by choice).

SO back to main question. What u guys planning to do after retirement? Please don't focus too much on financial stuff. Keep it simple and kinda realistic.

I would like to
- take up wood working. Ideally i want to make a workshop so i can tinker with stuff.
- minor project around the house, do gardening, auto sprinkler system. make a fish pond. aquascaping.
- buy a van(??) to convert it to campervan, so can go solo camping. currently looking at Toyota Hiace. heehehe.

My job as contractor almost everyday meet many different strangers to solve their problem.

One word of advice for u all.

"Be polite."

Really important. Although u are paying good money for my expertise to solve your problem. Know that u are the one having problem u need my help. Talk nicely la. I am obligated to help, but please make it easier for me to help u. Start by being a decent human being.

Also PLEASEEEEEEEE. try not to badmouth your previous contractor no matter how bad the job (very subjective). Especially not when i meet u for the first time u already start complaining how the previous one no do good job, this and that. Experienced contractor will take this as early sign of problematic client will automatically raise the quotation price 10% at least. I call this type of ppl "streetfighter" because they treat life like game keep fighting everywhere they go. Very hard to please this kind of ppl that always think bad of others, to them the whole world cannot wait to grab money from their pocket while giving nothing in return. I usually quote very high price hoping they say no, somehow this type of ppl like it when being quoted expensive price. kek. If u are rude and cheap together, they start haggle i will tell them to find someone else.

I thank my parent for giving me enough FU money as financial security. I do not have to sell my own self-esteem to please the wrong ppl.

Recently heard from friend one of her workers EL said anak masuk hospital. No give much info but seems serious. Straight 1 week MIA then when friend call her she asked if the missing work week still got gaji or not. Friend said use AL lor, if no more leave then become unpaid leave. Worker seems unhappy said will resign if potong gaji. Friend said okay.

Turns out the worker performance not really that good, socially also not so good since no ppl keep in contact with her throughout this issue. Everyone was in the dark. The vibe is no ppl going to miss her. So my friend proceed to terminate the worker and find new worker. Easy to find actually cos minimum wage so the worker got replaced by the second week itself.

Now third week the worker suddenly said ready to work already want come back. But the position already gone kena replace. She seems shocked to hear it.

Friend now wondering if she too kejam. It's SME, staffs not more than 10. Usually how to handle this kind of case? Anak masuk hospital is really abrupt and unpredictable. Since young child, one of the parent need to stay together 24/7 of course cannot work during that period. In such case can consider as MC for the caretaker?? still dont understand why the worker so terasa potong AL/gaji and resign because of that. Or she threaten only thinking the boss will back down.

Recently so damn a lot kantoi no lesen. Luxury car. Business no lesen.

Today i buying nasi lemak from roadside. Realized they got no lesen also. Cash only business.

Then i think back, majority of stuff we dealt with no lesen. That's why rules and regulations got nothing to do with them.

Kena accident without lesen, polis and insurance company say "cannot do anything".

Kena food poisoning from roadside stall. Same "cannot do anything".

Aryan Anand, 19, a former student at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, was exposed as a total fraud after a Reddit post revealed his web of lies.

Earlier this month, Anand pleaded guilty to forgery in Northampton County following revelations that his entire application to the university was fabricated.

The international student was caught after investigators found a post written by an anonymous user they believed to be Anand on the Reddit forum titled, 'I have built my life and career on lies.'

The post recounted how he created fraudulent admission application and financial aid paperwork to get into Lehigh, which has an acceptance rate of 37 percent and tuition of nearly $60,000 per year.

The school was notified by a Reddit moderator and an investigation by university police took place.

The post reportedly did not mention the name of the school but the moderator allegedly made the right guess after seeing that Anand followed Lehigh on the website.

'The defendant only had one other university that he followed, which was Lehigh University. So, the moderator actually reached out to Lehigh to give them a heads up,' Northampton County Assistant D.A. Michael Weinert told ABC 6.

Investigators found that Anand had in fact impersonated a school principal and created falsified documents, including phony school transcripts, tax statements and a death certificate for his father, who is in fact alive and well, living in India.

'It was difficult to really verify these things. I think that was great work by Lehigh and their police force. They were able to really dig deep and find all this really was false,' Weinert added.

Anand was arrested in April and charged with multiple offenses including forgery, tampering with records, theft by deception, and theft of services.

The post recounted how he created a fake admission application and financial aid paperwork to get into Lehigh, which has an acceptance rate of 37 percent and tuition of nearly $60K/year

On June 12, he pleaded guilty to one count of forgery, classified as a second-degree felony.

Anand initially faced 10 to 20 years in prison, however, at the request of the university his penalty was reduced to expulsion from the school and deportation to India.

As part of the agreement for his return to India, the university waived the request for restitution, estimated at approximately $85,000.

Anand was subsequently handed over to the custody of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Lehigh University responded in a statement, saying it 'appreciates the report to its ethics hotline and the diligent investigation by the Lehigh University Police Department that led to Aryan Anand's arrest.'
