Recently they have jacked up the price of the stall rental to RM550, with the reason of providing a '1 Stop Package' that include canopy, tables and other accessories. The people in that area have been making noise that the price is too high, they have previously go and complain to them directly and was either ignored and told to 'take it or leave it'.

That is the reason for this video that surfaced up, they have no choice but to look for opposition party to help them solve this case, and viral it at the same time.

Have you guys had this kind of thing happening at your taman as well?

I'm curious how widespread this type of roundabout extortion is happening in Malaysia.

Hi all,

I'm on a 2 year contract with my current company. the contract is gonna end soon next year Jan, is there such a thing as natural death of a contract. Which means that I don't have to give notice period that I'm not gonna renew the contract after it expired?

In the contract it did have a statement that there's a 3 months notice period need to be given for resignation. but the thing is I'm not resigning, I'm just waiting for the contract to expire. although now I only have 2 months left on the contract.

and also I have about 14 days leave left. so was thinking of walking out early or ask them to convert it into cash.

So need some advice from you guys, who knows how the laws work, and some pointers on how I should go about it.

Thank You.
How to check if the PSU is dead?
Worst come to worst is the MB is dead. How to check if it's the MB that is faulty?
Is there any other problem that might prevent the pc from starting up?

Was wondering if anyone of you have encounter the same problem as mine before can enlighten me with a solution.

Thanks.

If company get caught for using pirated software

Hi all,

The company that I'm working now doesn't like to buy original software, and they made us sign a document that the company doesn't condone pirated software use.

Yet, when we request them to buy the original software essential for work, they will always KIV it. Financially, the company have no problem buying all the software needed, but the boss is really a tight ass. The boss knows that the software are essential for production, or else nothing can be produced.

So the question is, will I, the worker, get into trouble due to the pirated software with the copyright authority? Or will the company that will be held responsible for it?

Thanks.

Hi all,

i've been having power flickering today. the flickering will cause all PCs and electrical appliances in the house to turn off and on. i was using both my desktop PCs when it happens, the flickering occur roughly every 5-10mins apart.

i was wondering if the construction beside my house (the neighbor is doing a huge renovation on the house, i can hear power drills from there, those big ones, for drilling out the tiles on the floors one)is actually affecting the power fluctuation or is it actually my own house's wiring or circuit breaker is getting faulty??

will the power flickering spoil my PC hardware??

Pls give comments or experience.

Thanks!!

I heard from frens that at the Melbourne Airport Custom, you cannot bring in the baby powder milk, because they forbid people bringing in any dairy product, scared we will contaminate their whole country. Meaning I have to throw my baby's milk powder into the trash can.

is this true a??

DiGi Leech RM0.10 Every Hour!

Hi ppl,

I need help from the Sifus here, I’m actually using Digi postpaid on my Blackberry Curve 8520. Just the normal plan, no internet service or the blackberry online plan. Because I’m not an avid phone user, I only use wifi for my online surfing.

2 months back I was shocked to find my Digi bill with a total of RM90 for the GPRS service, which is the internet service. I’ve never used the GPRS service at all for internet surfing, then I checked on the detail usage at the Digi Online service, I found out that my phone have been using ‘calling home’ to Digi every hour, so I was charged RM0.10 EVERY HOUR!!

At first, I thought it was the apps that I installed that is trying to ‘call home’ without asking me for permission, but I’ve reformatted my phone to start on a blank state, even upgraded the OS to the newest version. Still, my BB ‘call home’ to Digi. So I called to Digi support to deactivate the GPRS service, and they say that if they deactivate GPRS, then I can’t receive MMS. So currently my fix for this problem is to deactivate my ‘data service’ in the BB setting. Which prevent me from using wifi, unless I turn it back on, which will result in Digi charging me RM0.10 every hour.

This happen to my friend’s iphone as well, same situation, and he’s on prepaid, so his credit runs out even faster. And there’s no way for him to turn off ‘data service’ on the iphone, because that function is not available. For people who are on the Digi plan with unlimited internet use wont notice this problem, as they are paying a fix amount monthly. But for people without this kind of plan, the cost do add up, as it can total RM90 monthly!!

I’ve asked my friend who sell handphones, and he say currently there’s no fix for this problem. Is it true?? Is there really no way to fix this?

My definition of a fix is that I’m able to turn on ‘data service’ on my BB, so that I can use wifi anytime without my BB ‘calling home’.

Any help from the sifus here??

Thank You.

Fake Master degree in Programming

Hi all,

I dont know if the topic here is relevant or not, but since it's programming related.

Recently our company hired a Programmer/Data Analyst with a Master Degree. During interview, he said he work in India's biggest Software company called Infosys, working on the software support department.

After 1 month working here, I found out that he doesn't even know that software working under Window OS cannot be installed on a Linux OS. Then, when his laptop is infected, he doesn't even know how to look for the hardware drivers for his laptop model, which is a Dell brand. So he came to me for help, and bought along all the Driver CDs, which when I want to install the driver, I found out that it is actually the Driver CDs for a different brand laptop and different model. So when i tell him, he only gave me a blank look, he doesn't know what I'm talking about.

I mean if you have a Master degree in programming, is it possible to not have pc hardware/software basic knowledge? I had tried to ask him question on what his previous job/task when he was working in Infosys, he only gave me vague answer of "using JAVA to program something". When I push for a more specific answer he will deviate the topic.

At the office, he doesn't know how to use Microsoft Office, Excel and etc. Doesn't know how to copy and paste from Office to Excel to powerpoint. He's lazy, not productive, not wiling to learn, always interrupting people and pretending to be working. And most important, always want to take people's hard work/credit and present it as his own to the boss.

So to all the sifus here, is there anything that i can ask or tell him to do that will really reveal his skill?? To find out that he's really a fake, holding a fake Master Degree?
