As a devoted fan of the Medabot (or Medarot) series, I still fondly remember the joy it brought me during my childhood. Now at 34, I can't help but feel that this beloved series hasn't received the recognition it deserves and has been overshadowed by other franchises like Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Digimon.

Recently, I pondered why Medabot/Medarot hasn’t achieved the same level of popularity. It occurred to me that some generations might not even know about it because they didn’t have the opportunity to watch it as kids. With the advent of streaming platforms like Netflix, there’s a chance to change this.

A group of my friends, who were previously uninterested in Pokémon and Digimon, became hooked on these series once they were available on Netflix. This got me thinking: what if we could encourage Netflix to add Medabot/Medarot to their platform?

Netflix provides a way for users to recommend content, which means we have a direct route to suggest that they include Medabot/Medarot. By collectively taking just a few minutes to recommend this series, we could potentially see it make a comeback.

I remember few years back, was watching on Netflix, there was this anime show that I really liked, but had to stop to watching because my laptop broke down, one, and two, I was broke. Now that I am subbed and have a good replacement, I would like to watch that anime again. But I forgot all about it. Could you help me find the anime? Here's what i can remember..

In the opening theme, there's this line that says "I won't be afraid of the sea, I will conquer the people"
The first episode opens with the hero's father being arrested in public. The hero's father is a war veteran hero, apparently.
The hero was, I think, an infant or a small boy when his father was arrested. I'm not sure but I think the hero's father was exiled to a far off faraway island. The hero from kid to teen would do public stunts saying that he will become a hero and join the army? The hero sets off on his journey after, I'm not sure about this, after his mom passed away. The hero eventually participate in a something like a martial art tournament where all the participants are required to climb and progress through the floors of a dungeon tower from bottom to top. The hero is accompanied by a fighter from noble family who is very cocky but often times are rescued by the hero...overall, I remember liking the story. I dont think I got into it half way.

Do any of you know it? Does it ring a bell? Twas on Netflix. I know I can just trial and error on Netflix to find it, but I would like some help given whilst I am watching some show on Netflix

Anywhere, online or store I can get Japanese book closer to Japan retinal price? Say 1000yen book = rm40 instead of rm65 in kinokuniya?

So far had watched both Shinkai's Your Name and Weathering with You in cinema, both are intriguing though I like Your Name more. Guess I will find some time during March to watch this.

Asian and White anime characters..,

Not sure why the white people always think Anime characters are all drawn based on white people but I think it is easy to tell apart Asian and White....

Apart from the obvious names and cultural background which the artist already indicated who are the characters are based off... the looks are also different when they decided to draw a white character compared to asian...

The nose bridge for Asian anime characters are mostly either drawn to be narrow or low whereas white characters have high nose bridge and they are very prominent ...

The jaw shape for Asian anime characters are mostly V shape or very sharp chin... whereas white characters have broad jawline or squarish chin....

You can see clearly that the artist doesn't draw white characters to look like the usual anime characters...

Honestly, I think this was the hidden gem for this winter season. Isekai but just chilling there with comedy give similar vibes ojisan except that protagonist ain't super powerful. It is kinda like a stress relieving show u watch just to laugh and unwind . Manga readers had been hinting that there will be coming of a main plot despite first few episode being skits here and there.
