New gaming rig for 7k,

Hi guys, it's been a while since I build my own rig. Now I am building for my niece, I am a bit out of touch but can I please get some recommendation for 7k budget? Don't need Windows, mouse, keyboard, casing and monitor.

My niece is not very tech savvy and I prefer less trouble...don't know if AMD is a good build for him or not.

Hi all:

I have this wifi adapter ASUS USB-AC55 wireless-AC1300 but recently wanna use it, but when plug in, it will automactically disconnect or connected but no steaming, i have try to switch all the ports but still unable to resolve the issue;

1. i try install mediatek driver but fail
2. i try install asus advise driver but still disconnect

wish anyone can helps to resolve or share the driver on it eventhough i have download from asus

2x 8pin PCIE on RTX 4090?, in Dell pre built

My company recently got a Dell pre built with RTX 4090, psu rated at 1000w. Stress test gone through smoothly, but in certain application the GPU was not utilized.
Whe the case was opened, the 4090 was connected through a adapter by two 8pin PCIE only.

Wanna ask you guys, can the 2x 8pin PCIE provide enough power for RTX 4090?

Hello, I received Razer Ornata V3X as a gift, I've played around with the lighting patterns on the Razer Synapse app, so far I'm liking Static, but is there a way to have Static, with rainbow colors ? Basically different combination of colors together, or can only have one solid color ? Is there a way to have rainbow colors over the keyboard ?

Side question - The keyboard wrist pad that comes with it, it's independent ? Tried following the instructions to fix it but it doesn't click or have any magnets.

Anyone know how to safely remove the battery from keychron k8 pro keyboard ? The battery is stick / glue to the board not sure how to remove them.

I read online use alcohol spray but not sure which particular works.

I’m in a dilemma, to buy now or hold off first?

Seeing now how the price of RAM has hiked up, which is the same for SSD too & GPU soon.
Is it a better move to buy now? Instead of waiting longer for the uncertain price situation.

Initially, I was planning to buy my new PC at the end of Q1 2026, replacing my 15-year-old rig (at my sign), which was recommended by the Otai-Otai here.
I still see some familiar Otai that are still active, i.e., TristanX & kingkingyyk from back then.

Currently, my PC is facing these 3 problems below;

Certain Youtube videos in 1080p 60FPS or higher, it will be buffering. CPU usage is running at 99-100%.
Have to manually press F1 / F2 to enter Windows at each start-up. The mainboard CMOS cannot recharge the 3V battery. Had it replaced with multiple batteries.
Cannot upgrade to Windows 11, which means no security updates on Windows 10 after October 2026.

Seeing I’ve been absent in the PC hardware community, I would like to seek advice from the members here.

Should I go with the purchase this month, and if so, what’s the recommended specs that can last me for another 10-year-plus period?
Good enough for max 1080p or solid 1440p gaming, while most of them are for general computing usage & watching/streaming >1440p video.

Budget-wise, let’s say about ~RM6-7k? Previously, my rig was bought at RM2k.
Crazy seeing the current price differences now.
