Hi all,

Not sure I am allowed to post my book here as this is a book club.

I finally finished my book and it took me like 6 years to publish.

And yes most of it are revised and got a copywriter check my grammar.

As per titled. If you've bought/borrowed a book that's interesting in the beginning but not later on in the book, will you stop reading it? Or will you continue reading it and finish the book off just for the sake of completing it?

I have this dilemma with some of the books I read though. Like it all started nice and interesting. Then later on in the book its so bland I was bored of it. I used to leave it on incomplete. Some of my friends told me to just finish it anyway even if it still has 50% more to go.

Thoughts?

So here was my story of how i want to buy a book scanner. I was tidying my room and noticed notes and papers that i rarely used but will be used someday, maybe tomorrow, next month or next year stacking up. Im so fed up of arranging and searching these papers everytime i needed them.

Hence, began my search for scanners. Flatbed scanner, too troublesome . Duplex scanner 1k n up too expensive but get the job done fast. Automatic document feeder, what if the roller broke? What if the paper stuck? Since i might make it as a side business to compensate the expenditure of such pricey product surely it wont last long. Then, i stumble upon CZUR, a book and document scanner, 1.8k - 2.5k price range, too expensive but promise expansive features to make my small room spacious, by making pdf softcopies of them and throw or donate the hard copy. Why not? 2 years warranty, ocr technology n lightning fast scanning using camera (less than 1 sec/paper). I can save them on my kindle too.

But, im not satisfied because theres review saying theres a lot of post-procesing after the scanning. So i went looking for other book scanners and i found this youtube video, suggesting top 10 book scanners.

Now, i cant make up my mind because the other book scanners recommended in the video get the job done fast too, with more robust features and they are hellish cheaper. I need suggestion should i buy Ichow s1, Icodis x7, Czur aura or Iris scandesk. Price does not matter as long as its below 3k since i can compensate it by setting it up for small business to get profit later.

Btw, the reason i wrote such a long intro because i want to show how google track ur search and guide you to purchase things you never think of.

I need suggestion should i buy Ichow s1, Icodis x7, Czur or Iris scandesk? Or do you have other better suggestions?

I bought lots of Chinese magazines that has some Chinese women model in it, the Chinese women in it are beautiful and I cannot even read Chinese. Should I just dispose the magazine? As it is taking lots of space in my room. Also I keep lots of Japanese/manga in my books collection.

Hii, is anyone experienced ordering books from bookdepository and it came in a big box instead of the small cardbox or plastic parcel? Will postmen delivered it to the house or there will provide notice for self collect?

I ordered 10 manga and it dispatched on 12/3. However its been 2 months and I still didnt receive it. I though maybe it came in a box instead of separate parcel as when I asked their customer service to provide the packing slip, they just gave one attachment.

If I went to post office, will they entertain me?

Hope anybody can give me some advice 😭

Hi can anyone please suggest a cheap ebook reader or phone that can work as a reader?

I used an AMOLED phone before this as a dedicated reader and it was great because I read a lot at night. The black background really helps with eyestrain at night. But it is having a lot of random restarts lately and I think it is probably time to get a new reader. The phone is >5 years old.
