- open ads to clear my used desktop pc
- he pm want to buy and i agree with his offer
- he want to meet same day, but since pc need to format first, ask to meet tomorrow. he read the message but didnt reply.
- next day, message seen but still no reply, only in evening he said he already buy from others. Noted that he already agree with a deal, if he just asking around, that is different and i wont mind.
- at this point the whole chat seems ridiculous, could had just said he want to cancel or not sure yesterday, but he choose to keep quiet and let people wait for the whole day.
- told him its not good to practice this on other people, if you want to ffk a deal, atleast tell the other party.

at this point i dont mind, but the issue came later

- next day 1 star review came out of nowhere (never even had a deal) from him probably got triggered since i told him off.
- he admit he abuse the rating and arrogantly said he dont care about it. Even try to gaslight me for being sarcasm when i told him not to make hassle for other people.

Just a badluck to meet this kind of bad person. Avoid him if you can.

Details of the complaint:
In his ad, he put the warranty as "1 week personal" and claimed everything is good. The price was RM288 but we agreed on the RM250 price.

On 31-March-2023, I made a payment to him.

On 2nd-April-2023, I received the card (via J&T from Penang). It has scratches on the back plate but he didn't mention it before. He said he mounted an extra fan there for cooling. I tested the card. Initially, it didn't work, but after a bios reset, it worked. I ran Unigine Superposition on it and got a score of 7013.

On 3rd-April-2023, ran WiiU emulator cemu for an hour. Watched online drama for an hour. Everything looked ok.

On 4th-April-2023, I got a green screen when Windows was loaded (just entered into desktop). Then the pc crashed. Reset pc. Now all I got was my motherboard buzzer beeping as if there is no video adaptor. I tried reset bios but failed to solve the issue. I told him that I want my refund. He said he will refund after I returned the card.

On 5th-April-2023, I sent the card back to him (via J&T to Penang). He talked bad stuff about me.

On 6th-April-2023, He received his card. He tested it and said the card is good. He refunded me RM50 and said this is to teach me a lesson. I uploaded his video in OneDrive here. Shorter version of the video on Streamable here.

He still owes me RM200.

Is his card bad? I don't know.
Is my pc bad? I don't know.
But what I know is that I have returned his card, he has tested it to be ok, and I should get my full refund.

UPDATE: 10th-April-2023
Seller refunded me the balance RM200. Thank God.

The laptop is mostly working fine except a few keys are not working. Most important of the keys are "/" and "P".

When COD, only had a quick test and unlucky did not test those non-working keys. Seller said no problems with the laptop.

She also requested to only accept CASH. No bank transfer and no TnG. Now I know why cause she do not want to be traced.

She already removed the posting. She already blocked me in Whatsapp.

Lesson learned:

1) Not to trust when seller said everything working fine. Test as much as you can. Understand that sometimes this is not possible. So it's all luck.

2) Do not accept anyone who only want CASH. Make sure to use bank transfer or TnG so that they can be traced.

3) Do not trade with someone who is new and do not have any sales. I have not trade much lately so I forgot about this point.

Hi all,

I got con at Carousell for RM300 for a phone which the seller didn't send. His details are as below:

First he try to delay the delivery by saying he passed the package to jnt already but jnt didn't give him the waybill number??? Hey,c'mon lah, everyone knows that the courier gives you the waybill on the spot.

After much ding dong and delay he finally post it and when I received it,I knew it's not a phone coz the package was light as a feather. When I open the package,inside there's just a china charger and a couple or alcohol wipe you use when you install screen protector.

I straightaway PM him and he says Allah,it happen again ar,my package always got stolen. Excuse me? Always? What do you means always? You selling gold and diamond ar?

He said he'll file a claim at jnt regarding the 'lost' package but a check with jnt shows he didn't do so. Both Carousell and jnt didn't offers much help,even I request jnt for his address they said they don't hv it

Just for other potential buyer awareness - just my personal opinion not honest seller and not honor deal agreement.

July 14 I offer RM1200
July 17 he counter RM1300
July 17 i still offer RM1200
Sept 11 he come to offer 85% = RM1275 (maybe because voucher expired soon)
Sept 14 I counter with RM1250 and he agreed
And he shared contact and we communicate and agreed transaction detail. From the whatsapp he got to know that seng heng voucher can be use at sengQ which before this he don't know. He stop responding to me awhile

After 1 hour he come back and agreed with the deal and after awhile we come back again that he mistaken that our deal at RM1350 and he canceled the deal

TS sold me the product that is defective, the VGA Cable is melted and sticked to the PSU.
It can clearly be seen in the thread he didnt mention any info regarding this issue
He refused to refund as he said he spent the money, he also said that he tested the product before sending out but he thought the VGA Cable sticking to the PSU has no harm.
He only mention he tested the product before sending out after i complaint that the VGA Cable is stuck.

First of all, I was stupid to fall for this scammer's lies.

On 6 April 2021, this scammer privately contacted me via Whatsapp. The scammer got my number from one of my WTB topics.

The scammer mentioned that they have Spider-Man: Edge of Time PS3 and Captain America: Super Soldier PS3 for sale. Stupidly enough, I believed that the seller does have it by sharing pics of both games. I agreed to buy both for RM100. I also asked if they have X-Men: Origins Wolverine. Again, I believed them, and agreed for another RM50.

I was too excited and I transferred RM150 to that scammer's Hong Leong bank account.

After that, they mentioned that it will post it to J&T Express on that day (6 April) before 5 pm. Like a moron, I said thank you. I kept sending Whatsapp messages to the scammer with no replies. Didn't pick up Whatsapp voice call, and for whatever reason, I called the direct number and it is said that it is not in service.

It is embarrassing and stupid of me to believe that scammer. The first warning sign that I should have known is that the scammer does not have a Lowyat account. The second warning sign is that they do not provide their Facebook page.

So TLDR, don't fall for this scammer's lies, and do not be too eager or stupid like me. It is just RM150, but it is a heavy price to pay for believing an outsider blindly. This is my first scam case, so this is a great lesson for me to not blindly transfer my money to other people. My poor judgement led to me to this, and I hope other Lowyat users do not fall for this scammer.

I had extra money in my Umobile balance, i put the post in forum , this guy (sms2u) came & shown interest. But he wants to transfer first and then he will transfer in my account

1st time i done around RM200+ balance & he transfer within week (i guess)..

Again 2nd time i had surplus balance , i approached him if he still interested and we got deal again.

9th July 2020 , i have completed my transfer RM210 and as per deal he needs to transfer RM45 for each 100 , so its close to RM100.

Earlier i had more balance, but due to some issues i have consumed all & clearly mention to him that i only can transfer RM210 which i have done on 9th July.

Since then on & off i am sending him message to transfer money & he is keep giving excuses ( i have all Message trail)

Now i though its enough , i have again message him about my patience is losing and he told by this week it will be done. But still same.

Now i have not left any option , so i started put my message to him post .....

and here i am with dispute case...

Note: Personally i don't like to do that , after all its only RM100. But what trigger me is his attitude . Its my own money which you are not giving back to me....

Start transaction deal on 12.02.2021 for PS4 Pro 1TB. After finalizing negotiation, made a deposit via TnG wallet for RM200. I was told I could pickup the item at the designated address given but due to police roadblock was not able to go. After further negotiation, we decide seller to send the package via Lalamove. I will make payment of RM300 before delivery and the remaining RM350 after package arrived. After payment of RM300 was made. Lalamove status shows order was canceled and seller seem to turn off hp and never reply my msg.
